You'll find men and women from all walks of life sharing a common purpose - to have fun while enhancing the quality of
life for our neighbors through the OBJECTS OF KIWANIS. They come together in fellowship and respond to the needs they see around them. North County is the gleaming jewel of the
San Diego area and these are the people who help make North County shine. Our 18 clubs serve schools, Boys & Girls clubs, youth organizations, homeless shelters, Rady Children's
Hospital, seniors and military programs and much more through an assortment of community service projects and activities.
The future is now. YOU
can make a difference. You can help create the future through the Kiwanis spirit of involvement.

| | Catch the W.A.V.E. of Service
with Lieutenant
Governor Warren Sargent Welcome to the
Division 37 website! This year as Lieutenant Governor my focus will be on serving our communities. One of the definitions
of service is "setting aside your own wants and needs in seeking the greatest good for others" and as a Kiwanian
that's what we do. We will be reviewing our past service projects, enhancing our current projects as well as finding new
ways to increase service. Our 2011
- 2012 theme is "Catch the Wave of Service". What is this "Wave" we are looking to catch? Here's
how we do it. The first letter in the word "Wave" is W. The W stands for Watch. Look for opportunities
to serve. We can do this by conducting a community survey, talking to our friends, family and associates about what is needed
to make our communities better. The second letter is A.
This stands for Act. Get your plan together of how to move forward with the service. Make a plan, don't let the
opportunity to serve pass you by. The third letter is V. This stands for Volunteer. A volunteer makes a commitment. Let's be committed to make our plan happen. And the final
letter is "E". This stands for Expect. We need to expect to succeed. By setting our expectations
high we will be successful. So that's
it, Watch, Act, Volunteer and Expect.
Don't let those waves of service pass you by; it might just be the ride of your life. The Beach Boys had a song released
back in the 60's called "Catch a Wave". The opening line is "Catch a wave and be sitting on top of the world". The same can
be said for completing a successful service project. I'm excited about all the opportunities we will have to serve this
year and am looking forward to working with everyone.

The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved
by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 International Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the decades, they have remained
unchanged. To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life. - To encourage the daily living of the
Golden Rule in all human relationships.
- To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional
standards.
- To
develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
- To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a
practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
- To cooperate in creating and maintaining
that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
